I ordered a 6505+ from GC online in used condition not long ago. Thing was great and still works mint. It was about an 8.5 out of 10 condition wise. When I made that purchase, it gave me $100 free dollars to spend on a future purchase. I had been looking for a decent/cheap Electric Acoustic so I figured what the heck.
I found a nice looking used Fender CD-60CE on their site for $119 and decided to pull the trigger. It was out in Missouri, so I figured I would pull the trigger. In the end it only cost me $42 out of pocket after tax and shipping so not really too bad.
Well, the guitar showed up today and I am just astonished at the stupidity... First off, the guitar was packaged in the wrong box. The box was too small as it was for a Taylor GSmini which to my knowledge is a 7/8 scale Acoustic. So naturally because of that, part of the headstock was sticking out. Their solution for that was to slice the box, fold it over the headstock and put a single layer of bubble wrap over it.
Their answer to me was basically "you bought a used guitar so that's why it's damaged"... COMPLETE bullshit to me... I never complain, but this is complete ignorance. There is absolutely no excuse for this at all. This guitar sounds incredible for a $100 used cheapo... I don't know if I want to send it back or just raise hell and get my $42 back since the rest of it was kind of just a "gift" in a way for purchasing something else during a promotion. Pissed AF right now...
