Dunno if you guys know who that is...he's sort of famous because if you buy a guitar from him, it's mostly because of the 80 PLUS hi res pics he takes of every guitar he sells, plus he knows his stuff.
Anyway...call my boy Moses to get a setup time for the Charvel, he shoots me an address and I jump down there.....walk in the door and a bell rings...he pops out and says "cmon back" and I walked into this.
Apparently Moses is doing setups for him, as he should cause M does the best setups in SLC bar none.
Big pics are big:
Only Gibson with a dual action truss rod:
Mochaburst Standard:
76(? we think) Norlin, heavy as a motherfucker:
Some basses.....note that 5 string Ric 4th from the left:
THIS thing was COOL....'74, aluminum neck/headstock/walnut body:
Carbon fiber neck on a 90s Fender Jazz:
76 Fender, THE Geddy bass, different inlays:
5 string Ric....board/nut width is really thin:
Late 60s SG Custom:
Mid 90s Parker:
82 e2.....this thing SLAYED:
2017 BCR.....not even remotely my favorite but this thing kicked ass and the versatility was off the fuckin charts:
And one for my boy Cole.....dude this thing is a late 70s, MIJ...weighs about 15lbs but no joke, sounds like the hammer of GOD.
Anyway......once dude found out I was a gearhead work stopped immediately......we were running up and down stairs grabbing guitars and plugging into 2 full stacks......JVM410 and Orange Rockerverb.....cops showed up, beer, etc.....
Shit was a blast. Dude told me to come back anytime, cause his stock was less than half what it usually was........
I'm probs gonna go back maybe once a month just to see what they have....he's got an eye for good stuff, and I see no reason not to, if only to take em a 6 pack and play some cool shit.
Anyway, just wanted to share....if you're thinking of buying from Guitar Chimp, have no worries. You'll get the best setup you've ever had from Moses, a super clean guitar, and the whole experience is gonna rule.
