Guitar country of origin: Does it matter?

Let's stay away from politics and not ruin it for everyone. For us folks living outside of the US things look very different than for those who consumed the US narratives their whole life.
Oh, you're one of those. Okie dokie. May next time then, don't try and make back door political comments in the main forum and expect not to get called out on it. Mmkkkayyy?
Feel free to saunter on over the OT section and state your case...

Depends on the guitar. Right now I'm striving to not support American manufacturers when possible, but a Gibson is a Gibson. I typically aim for Japanese guitars.

Sorry dude! No interest whatsoever. I’ll just say that I really like my Chinese-made Dingwall, to stay on topic.

I'll just keep moving them and moving them and moving them

I don't need many guitars and probobly no more, the USA manufacturers do make all the models I like.
That said my favorite and best sounding strat is a 57 reissue Fernandes from Japan.
I don't need more, but if I bought another it would be American and vintage.
