Hey, going to NY near Time Square with my wife this weekend, any guitar store you can suggest me near?

Thanks

Guitar Center is at Times Square. They have a nice Platinum Room.

Sam Ash is down a few blocks near MSG.

True. The Platinum Room there is amazing.

Check out Ludlow for a killer pedal selection.

The Platinum room in NYC is meh...

Rudy's and Sam Ash on 48th Street.

Both are closed. Rudy's is in Soho and Sam Ash is near MSG (34th I believe)

30th Street guitars on 28th is my favorite place...

Had no idea. I'm surprised about Rudy's though. About 5 years ago, he opened a beautiful showroom around the corner from the store in midtown. Andy Timmons did a free show in the showroom when it opened. Sad if that's gone.

It's a bummer about 48th St. I lived in Staten Island when I was in high school...skipping school and hanging out on 48th St or by the K-ROK building hoping to meet Howard Stern was how I spent my 9 months there. Got my JEM at Manny's and figured I was destined to be great because Jimi and Gilmour got their guitars there, too.

Took the words right out of my mouth. When I started playing guitar in 7th grade, my buddy (bassist and friend to this day) used to love riding the subway from Queens into the City on a Saturday morning to browse all the shops: Sam Ash, Rudy's, Manny's, etc. We ran into all kinds of pros etc. It was great.
