Guitar Subforum

Hey Guys,

We are going to try a Guitar subforum here on the main rig-talk forum for all posts directly about guitars and not amps/rigs. We will try it and see if you like having them separated. If yes we will keep it and if no we will just merge it back into the main Rig-Talk forum.

Let me know your thoughts here in this thread.

I will chime in to say I prefer the idea of it all guitars, amps, pedals being combined on the main RT forum. This way you don't have to click onto a bunch of different sub-forums to talk about music gear.

It's possible that splitting traffic into categorized subforums in such a small community could make things seem sort of dead in the main section. I've seen it happen on other boards, but I'll be here either way.

Could we divide this up as such:

Guitar forums divided up by string gauge

Amp forum divided up by tube type

Effects forum divided up by type of effect and colors.

Actually I am with Curt and some others and like it all together.

I like the idea of having a bunch of subforms but I'm not sure if we are a big enough community to keep it all moving. Definitely worth a try though!
