Guitargavel.com… a new way to buy/sell/auction guitars online

Hi there! My name is Nick and I’m a soon to graduate senior computer science student and a lifelong guitar player! Thanks for taking the time to read about Guitar Gavel. My business partner David I have begun to develop a brand new e-space to buy, bid, sell, or auction guitars. Our main goal with the site is to provide a gimmick free service so that buying and selling guitars online will never be a hassle. However, aside from facilitating guitar sales, we want to provide a communal space where folks can post pictures, articles, or a cool new idea. Though, during our developmental stage before the production site is ready to launch we are looking to get community feedback. Sounds great. Ebay, reverb and of course CL, have run me out of patience a long time ago. I hope it works out well for you?
 
The problem isn’t the platforms. The problem is that people, especially musicians are flakes.

Hey lespaul6! Paypal will certainly be considered as a payment option. David and I are currently in the weeds of figuring out payment logistics. It's a tedious balance of profit margins, fees, and customer satisfactions. However, our main goal is to make sure that when problems arise in a transaction fairly reimbursing appropriate parties will be a breeze. Buyer/seller security is a huge priority and we are striving to make things hassle free. Hopefully I'll see you on the site when The Gavel first strikes :) - nick

Hi electricvoodoo! thanks for the encouragement, your support is appreciated. Though, I hope you have just another drop of patience to wait for The Gavel to come off the lathe, for, I still have many lines of code to write.

BANG!.... ha just kidding the gavel isn't ready quite yet.

Scottosan you're so right! You know... I prefer my flakes to be the corn type... the frosted kind... and with milk.... in a bowl. Ha. Jokes aside, flakey transactions won't be tolerated on guitargavel.com. Our Gavel strikes hard, honest, and fair so that no one gets the short end of the deal.
