Guitarist needed for modern rock band. Original band with management and record seeking pro guitarist. No BS! Female fronted ala Paramore, Fly Leaf, Breaking Benjamin, Foo, Tool. Auditioning next week, serious gig.

Wish it was in Utah. I desperately want to join a band but don't know where to start.

Good luck filling the spot!

Oh man, by posting that on Rig Talk you're gonna get some serious 80s shredders bringin' the heat!  :D

For a band like this, I'd say no...seems a bit more of the modern rock variety. ie Paramore, Flyleaf
Not that an 80's style shredder couldn't pull it off, just sayin probably not what they're looking for.

I can do some shred ... there is just so much more out there. There are a lot more than the people who are stuck there at RT. ;)

This sounds like it would be a cool band with the list of influences. Good luck to all who check it out. :)

I guess they don't take old bastards like me :aww:

Sounds like they have some cool tunes and tones.

LOL! Could you Imagine one of us Old Dog Rig-talkers doing a gig like that.......It would be like "One of these things is not like the other.... :hys:

Sounds like a great opportunity James. It would be the perfect type of band for me. Too bad I have this dead end Electrical Engineering career and a huge mortgage...

I am working on a very similar project myself right now...Good luck finding your axeman. You couldn't find a better forum to find your guy than Rig-Talk. You also might want to check over on Guitarwar (if you haven't already) There are some pretty great player hanging out around there.

Thanks for the responses. Yeah there's some shredding but mostly it's song oriented ensemble playing. I will tell you, I wrote the songs and some of the rhythms are deceivingly hard for some guys to play, trust me I'm seen it first hand, you gotta have your rhythm playing spot on first and foremost. The second half of the record which isn't on the the myspace is more complex musically, we kind of found our stride musically while writing. But it's a good gig guys, every label I work with is already hot for Ela, so it may be a chance to see the world!!!

I might be interested, I listened to the tracks and it sounds close to my style. I'm 22, have pro gear (Engl Invader, 2 Gibson V's, Gibson Explorer, tons of effects and rack stuff) Been playing 15 years, I can sing, I have an "image" lol. I have money to relocate and I'm tour ready, would like to know more!

I do not see why you guys are hung up on your age ..... I work with people 20 years older and 20 years younger than me all the time. Have a more open mind about this nonsense.

it is all about age and image
it's not about music

no one here, including the manager, would care about this girl if God came down and magically turned her into a 50 yr old today
