My good friend Chris LeBlanc, Just an all around tasteful player and a great singer. One of the nicest guys you'd ever meet, pure class act.



The other guitar player takes the first solo which is very good. Chris comes in soloing at 2:15 and again after the drum solo at 5:05.

Chris is playing his favorite Tele made from Warmoth parts and loaded with SD Antiquities. Not sure about the amp used in the video, but I would guess its either his Matchless or Comet.

Hellz yeah! I'm from the same home town (Malone, NY). My bandmates and I used to go to Mould's Corner Grocery on Elbow Street to get sodas when we practiced. They were always so cool to talk to, especially when it had anything to so with Hüsker Dü.

AWESOME! I saw Sugar in my hometown on the Copper Blue tour. A night so intense I didn't speak about it for 2 years!!
 
Trey Spruance (check out Mr. Bungle, Faith No More's King for a Day album and Secret Chiefs 3). He's a genius and he doesn't seem to care who knows it.
 
Josh Zee, his old band Protein was signed to Sony, they did two albums, he sang and played guitar. He is a great guitarist, and you can hear pieces of it in some of the songs but in the studio they really made him tone it down. This was the late 90s and solos and such were not so cool to the labels. He was awesome on stage and played furiously. He is a killer monster player. he actually had like a 6 page spread in one of the big guitar mags a couple years ago. he currently plays in a band called The Mother truckers with his wife Teal Collins. They moved to Austin and the music is countryish now.

the first link seems to be a kind of poor recording from the album, but there is some GREAT riffing in it, just listen, I really dig a couple riffs. his voice works for the music, and he has odd lyrics. imagine the first link with decent audio quality. pretty fat riffing!!! he plays a beat up old Mexican strat, he loves it. I have never played a guitar that required so much effort. He a/b'd between a late 70s jmp and a twin. I really love the part that starts at around 55 seconds and ends around the 2 minute mark. On stage this part was awesome, he would be running and jumping off stuff just playing like a wildman.This was released in 97 I think? Not a lot of stuff at the time had 1 minute solo breaks near the start of the song!!! if it was up to him, there would have been a lot more stuff like this on the album.

His band Protein did well in Japan. They loved his technical playing. They were all over MTV japan and sold way more copies of their albums in japan.
