That guy also has mesa IIC+ boards and early dual rectos. But i wouldn't deal with him since he lives in moscow, and has an okay feedback.

That's the same guy that is profiting from lot's of other peoples work. All those schems were figured out by the guys over at the Sloclone forums, and were meant to be had as free public knowledge, not as a way to make money.

I wouldn't buy them just on principle.

This. Not really fair to Reinhold or the guys at Bogner who put a lot of effort into developing that amp.

I'm cool with people cloning, it's how we learn and how we can get cool amps the DIY way. The problem I have with the 'ampclones.com' stuff is that I haven't seen them give any credit to the guys that did the work over on the Sloclone forums. And then they charge a crazy amount for the boards and profit big time.

Not really a kit. There is a monster amount of work to do there to get an amp up and running. By no means a project for a rookie or someone whe is likely to build from a kit in the first place.

It doesn't matter how close the PCB is to the original if you can't get original spec transformers...or original-spec inductors...or any of the other 500 parts that shape an amp's tone.

That, and I hate it when someone calls it a "PCB board". Can you have a NON-board mounted PCB?
I build all of my amps on non-Printed Circuit Board boards. More tone that way.

Lots of guys who are building these kind of amps at a DIY level are spending 70% of the cost of a real one so saving money usually isn't the issue. They want to be able to tweak it to their needs. Yes the exact parts might make a difference in sound but few make dramatic differences and there are a lot of great transformers, for example, on the market right now. You could make something very close in tone to an Uberschall with those boards and a reasonable selection of readily-available parts. Aside from the transformers, Bogners dont really have much that isn't off the shelf anyway.

The reason for the "PCB board" verbiage is probably the result of a language barrier.

Hi, i'm the man who developed that PCB, or i must say, OUR pcb (that WAS free), that pcb kit on ebay is a FULL BAD copy of mine, checkout yourself!

He used my wrong schematics to make it, so be carrefully!

About the price, i spent like 1000€ to bulid it, but i don't clone it because it's cheaper, just for fun and because i LOVE do my own things and to mod the sound to my taste!

So, another time, BE VERY CAREFULLY!

No thanks. I'd buy a used one on eBay and be playing while others are trying to find their way around the inside of a Bogner.

Steve

I'M NOT SELLING ANYTHING, i'm just letting you know that kit on ebay is'nt a working one.

Thats all, i don't care what you wanna do, mine is just a warning.
