Guys who have ordered Musikraft Necks

How long did it take for you to get it? I'm on about 6 weeks. I don't want to call because they say on the website if you call it slows your order because they have to pull it to see how far along it is.

I think mine only took a few weeks. You can call them and tell them what you want and sometimes they'll happen to have it in stock, or something very close. At least that's how it worked last year when I called them up.

Their times vary depending on how busy they are. The last neck I ordered took about 8 weeks. You can always give them a call, they usually will say that just so everyone isn't calling them constantly and wasting their time....I'm sure a phone call would be no big deal.

Just make sure you get some sort of finish on it. I just had my Musikraft neck twist like a pretzel.

If you ordered it finished it will take some time.

That is not good to hear, I have 4 un-finished necks including a wizard and even with the changes here in CT no twists.

My taint

I oil the boards but I dont clean the backs, just leave the grime on them and wipe down after playing. That wizard neck is some sort of mutant, hardest maple neck I have and super stable even though it is so thin. Can't explain it.

Mines coming with their Shellac sealer that their necks come standard with now.

I've ordered about a dozen necks since the last year and they all have been perfect....no twists or anything weird, they were all perfect. I just get them with the sealer also and then gunstock oil them at the shop.

I have ordered a few necks and bodies and they have taken exactly 6 weeks to arrive....

I orderd the necks with their basic sealant (no charge), oiled them once I received them with tru oil, and have had no problems with twisting. I suspect it depends on your local climate though.

I ordered a bunch of Musikraft necks in the past and never once spoke to them. Just email Jim and he'll give you a status update. 5-6 weeks seemed to be the norm for my neck orders but that was a couple years ago.
