I grabbed 2x DV77’s, 2x Karnivore’s and 2x CV-75’s (not shown)

The Karnivore clips are super hit or miss for me with @NinjaRaf being the only ones in the wild I have liked so far.

The DV’s I finally just said “fuck it” on because well… why not. I’ve liked the Mikko IR’s version and the CV-75’s seem to get a lot of praise from guys who I know get good tones.

The nice thing I suppose is I wasn’t given any of these so I’ll have no problem saying if I think they’re terrible.

Folks can say what they like about “not being beholden or feeling obligated to saying positive things” but I definitely have PM’s that are counter to the opinions stated in vids about the Karnivore and DV-77. I won’t call anyone out but it is what it is.

Going to try the 77/Karnivore combo in my Krank 412. The plan is to X-pattern them. I’ll mic both pairs then put the best sounding 2 in the bottom position.

I’m also contemplating trying one of each in my 212 to see which pairing of the three works best together.

Cool , looking forward to hearing your thoughts. The DV-77s I had were good but too dark for my taste. Ive had Fillmore speakers made by Eminence which most people say are the same speaker as the CV-75s though I’m not positive about that. Anyways the Fillmores were a nice V30 type speaker, I liked them more than the DV-77. They were like a cleaner maybe dryer sounding V30, hard to describe.

Yessssss! The CV-75 gets a lot of praise and I think it's right up my alley. I gotta try it. The DV-77 always sounded a bit too dark to me as well but I'm sure it's workable.
Are you front loading the Krank like the OEM Legends are?

Looking forward to it. Like many other's I've almost grabbed each of these speakers at one point in time.

Yeah my guy Gord Olson swears by the CV’s. Monster player and knows tone. I always seem to like them in clips.

The DV’s I’m thinking will pair with the CV’s well. I’m guessing with the Karnivore’s as well.

Yeah for sure I’ll front load. I’m wondering if those Krank Legend V12’s would pair well with the DV’s…
