So I've scoured the internet trying to figure out which sound module I've got in my Hughes & Kettner Access. I've read some conflicting info and found nothing definitive so I'm hoping maybe someone here knows.
Firmware is v2.01. On the "soundboard" itself, in the upper left corner it says "SR 1" and about an inch to the right of that it says "mo" and directly beneath the "mo" it says "2 01".
I would describe the tone as being somewhere between Marshall and Engl but with its own thing goin' on, too. Not quite as tight & saturated as a modern Engl unless you put a TS in front with the drive turned down. Liquidy smooth singing lead tone, great for vibrato & hammer/pull type stuff, not a hard cutting attack on alternate picking though.
