Hand wired Marshall 4X12 cabinet

They were made to go with the "Hand wired series" reissue heads, like the slp 100 plexi. I had one, I think the wires were soldered to the speakers instead of just clipped but no big difference, Nice Cabs though, solid. They come with Greenbacks made in england from what I remember.

They have the heritage greenbacks (pre rola vintage clones) which are different than the china made and cost more

I believe the backs also are ply rather than chipboard.

You can always hand-wire them yourself. I soldered the connections in my old Marshall 4x12 cabs.

^ This. Seems like a total gimmick to me.

Ah, don't confuse these with the zombie wired cabs. They don't have the same peak at 20k. I heard these cabs have a technology that 'corrects' any out of key notes you play.

Damn...I gotta get one. :)

I've never had a 4X12 with the clip on connectors come apart in over 3 decades of playing , just make sue you have a tight solid fit .
I also hear no difference in tone between soldered and clip on speaker wire connections , that's all just BS talk imho .

I think the soldering just maintains the connection, so it doesn't shake loose from rough treatment during transport, e.g. touring on the road.

As I said before I soldered mine, but I was soldering the circuit board for the impedance selector, so I thought "Why not?".

For $1499, who cares. Look elsewhere and you'll find a less expensive better quality cabinet in my opinion. Unless you've got to have that Marshall logo, etc.

Or buy a clean used one for less than half the price at GC.com, Craigslist etc. And it still says Marshall. Plenty out there.

The back panels are plywood not particle board and they have metal handles.

^^^^^
So does my Avatar Vintage 4X12 cabinet and it's only $650 new with your choice of Celestion's .

...and Heritage G12H30 loaded
@ $200.00 each

I think handwired cabs is a pile of BS marketing. The main concern should be the construction of the cab, wood used, dovetail joints on the corners. That kind of thing.

LOL @ Rayemans avatar.
