Noticed a lot of players hang em low…..

But I like em high…..

SRV and others did low, EVH and others like em high.

What say you Rig Talk?

When I was younger and in bands, my guitar was Jimmy Page low. I would combine two straps to get them longer since I'm 6' 5"

LIVE on stage ... Jimmy Page with Led Zeppelin 23 July 1977 • Oakland CA

Now, it's whatever is most comfortable.

Medium.

It definitely looks cooler slung down low, but my arms just do not reach the higher frets.

Too high is uncomfortable imho. It shifts the guitar to the left and is fatiguing to have to reach up to the guitar.

Lucky you clarified straps. I am getting older now. Can’t beat gravity.

Medium. I recently bought a new strap and went to an open jam night. Didn’t have time to try it. Assumed at my height, leave two notches. I’m tall, but not giant. That would normally work.

Well, fuck me was I wrong. This is the longest strap ever. It was so low I have injured myself for the first time ever playing guitar. Too much compression and angle on left wrist.

Possibly I looked really cool, but I sounded like shit.

Imagine putting on that little outfit, with your little badges. Why do they all become weird and contrived when they get success?

I don’t want to be an Alex Jones. But I swear, I look at that image and it looks like some kind of propaganda band. Like, they are really CIA or something. It’s too lame. And I loved Dookie when it came out!

We need to determine an objective standard: Bridge at/below balls = low. Around bellybutton = medium. At sternum = Morello.
