Sounds like the album is being recorded remotely while transferring files to member's individual studios. I think the whole band is scattered over various continents. I don't expect to hear any special chemistry with music recorded this way.

.008-.046 holy cow
I've been playing these for 5 yrs now. Takes a bit of an adjustment; learn to play with a lighter touch but well worth it IMO. I thought carpal tunnel was happening back before going to the lighter gauge strings; but no pain since.
More upper mid zing with these, and the 46 still leaves the chunk when you need it.

Need some kind of custom pack? I see .009-.0046 but not 8’s on the E.

Malmsteen has no issues playing 8's.. he also tunes to Eb so his strat sounds more EVIL.. lol, actually YJM doesn't sound right in standard tuning.

Interesting that they are using modelers too.. this stuff is getting better and better. I too would worry about the chemistry though. How is that supposed to work? King sings a part and then they send back some rythms? It might also be for ease of setup if they fly him in for a week and they all record in a small studio. No need to set up mics and risk not wanting to touch them etc.. I'd suspect this will become the norm because you can work with multiple clients at once vs the old days of renting out a studio for 2-3 weeks exclusively for your band.

In a separate thought, Overloud seems to be bringing the goods on the modelling as well these days. I have always thought there stuff sounds good " for a modeler" but now it seems as if everyone has upped their game in the last 2 or so years.

Cool to see him rockin' the Dimarzio Super D's and the FS-1! I am not a big Dimarzio guy, but those 2 are classics.
