Really odd memory of EVH. I was buying a new truck. Diving it home. Buddy of mine texts me just ‘Eddie died’
First went over my head. Said Eddie who?!
He texted ‘ Van Halen’ ....
I literally went blank. Pulled over the side road. Sat there. Disbelief
Actual true story. Kinda thought ‘man never happen to this guy?!)’
Still blows me away that memory of that exact moment.

I hear you. I was riding my bike and a buddy messaged me. I stopped and pulled over too.
I also stopped and pulled over the first time I heard "Me Wise Magic" on the radio !
