No worries...
I squashed this shit sandwich a few hours ago.

Maybe he can go on patting himself on the back and thanking himself as he tries to suck his own dick.

Seems to me that true heroes always say things like "I was just doing my job" or "I was just doing what needed to be done."

I've had the honor of meeting several Medal of Honor recipients, and that's what they all said. My dad was in the Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. That's what he said. Four of his brothers (my uncles) were in Europe (also WWII). One was a bombardier in a B-24, two were Infantry, and one was a Paratrooper. That's what they all said. My cousin served 7 tours in the desert and took a medical retirement last year. That's what he said. My wife's family can trace their service back to the Revolutionary War and by all accounts, that's what they all said, too.

My heroes taught me everything I've needed to know about honor, duty, courage, selfless service, integrity, loyality, and respect... and the opposite of those things. I'm glad that those things mean something around here, too. Thanks for taking out the trash.

Happy Veterans Day to all the vets out there. God bless the USA. MAGA.

ran into a korean vet at walmart the other day, shook his hand and thanked him profusely. he was tickled to death, glad I could make him smile. I think any time someone younger can thank these older guys wearing their campaign hats out in public, please do it. That old man smiled ear to ear.....

I've been working with an old man for a few years and he's dying of cancer. He's a vet who served deep in the shit in the Korean war - a war my late father fought in. He goes to chemotherapy every weekend, and he's in such bad shape now that he now looks like a Jewish prisoner at a concentration camp. The cancer has eaten away at him so viciously. He's a teacher at an inner-city alternative school and goes to work every single day, never missing a day. He works with shitty kids who are criminals, among the worst of the worst, who insult and berate him daily, "Fuck you old whitey." they say, but nothing stops him from trying to reach a few of them. I have HUGE respect for the man, but things aren't looking good. It's very sad. He is a real hero... one of the few real distinguished heroes I've ever met. That's a man who deserves the honor of Veterans Day.

This ^^^^

Honestly, I can't begin to imagine what this means to them, to know that something they did so long ago is still worthy of the respect and honor of a stranger. I've greatly enjoyed talking with them, even if it's just for a few minutes. They have some incredible stories!

Please tell this gentleman that I said thank you for continuing to be such an inspiration, that I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers, and that I will never forget hearing about him. I would consider myself lucky if I had 0.01% of this man's courage, selflessness, and devotion.
