will customize your amp with all the EQ or switching/loop functions you want.
Steve

well, he'll say he will...

Yes, he will. I've bought several from him and he will do as agreed. Since he shit canned that other Frenchman working for him, and isn't off on 2 year AC/DC tours and doesn't rely on dealers and forum trolls, he's actually turned things around and making a good penetration into the market as far as endorsements. But, his biggest target is studios.

He didn't give me the switching I asked for. But I'm not as cool as you,

Recently?

No, about 4 years ago. Wrong switching, wrong cabs. Ate my shorts on that one. Rick is cool enough. Wizard amps we carried at the time sounded great - why I ordered. But he did himself a disservice with me on that transaction.

yeah, i seem to remember a large cluster fuck at the time between dealers and some individuals. he was in the middle the ac/dc tour and had others taking care of business. not an excuse, but i can assure everyone that things are much different now that he is running the shop full time and does everything in house.

That's a bummer, I can see how this would sour things....

Finally some questions stay

- Is the Wizard able to be tamed in the high end? ( not too treeblish or harsh ? could it become a little creamy ?)
- Is the master volume good enough to play at reasonable volumes?
- Are the boosts usable? In other words, does the lead boost have enough of a gain boost to use to step out for singing type solos?
- Is the clean channel of the MC2 "plexi-ish"? Is it usable?

I'm a little bit affraid that the MC II will sound much more aggressive than a bogner XTC ( Harsh ?)
90% of the sample i eard were done with some hard rock gainy sound can it really does vintage job as good as a boutic superlead clone for exemple

YES - it has shared 'Treble' and 'Presence' controls on the front panel, as well as both 'Lead Bright' and 'Rhythm Bright' controls on the rear panel

The boosts are handy, but if I really want a gain boost, I'll often boost my leads with a dirt box set to almost a clean boost setting (Xotic BBPMB)

Not harsh. It's a super Marshall. If you like Marshalls, you'll LOVE the Wizard MCII

.....can it [do a good job as a vintage] superlead clone?
YES. However, it will sound a little bit more full across the frequency spectrum than an old Superlead. More lows and low mids for sure. However, it still maintains that Marshall character, whereas the XTC's low mids are very different from a Marshall

Tried my 101B and MCII back to back yesterday and got me a pretty bad case of "Bogner Blanket"
The MCII cuts so much more, it's not even funny

You can achieve the "blanket" tone with a Wizard now as well.....

From Bogner's Website......

"As many of you are aware, we recently announced the release of new Bogner-branded batteries. These units have been engineered to improve the life and tone from our Bogner pedals. Due to the unbelievable success of these batteries, we have been examing other, non-traditional products that will allow us to maximize the enjoyment our customers have with their amplifiers.

In connection with our 25th anniversary, we are pleased to announce a new product designed to give guitarists the coveted Bogner 'Blue' tone, regardless of what brand of amplifier they are playing through. The new "Bogner Blanket" will deliver authentic 'Blue' tone by way of a simple modification any guitarist can make to their amplifier. Simply remove the Bogner Blanket from its packaging and drape over your speaker enclosure. Guitarists everywhere will be astonished by the sonic complexity this blanket will impart.

If there is no video , any sample of good quality medium low or gain ?

This one sounds particularly good :

That sounds just about perfect. The 1:00 minute mark is stellar.

Thx all for your very usefull answers. I really appreciate, it s help me a lot!

Wizard mc 2 looks probably closer of what i m searching for.

But there is a third one that i ve kept secret and for which i would like to have your advice:

The Bad Cat LYNX 50. The mid gain crunchy sound in few video blow me away few month ago, but i ve read things different on it. Shure it is less polyvalent but less expensive.

For the mid gain crunch sound does play in the same court a wizard or no? Is ther some issu with it?

Any comment on it wil be welcome ! With or without comparaison to a mc.

;)
