I was lucky to get onto the list for the Swan traveling demo tour, thanks to Ed Degenaro, as I always wanted some quality time with one. I am blown away by this guitar, one of the most powerful sounding guitars I have played. The Swan sig pups are low gain so they clean up beautifully and keep the guitar real articulate. Mini toogle splits the coils for killer single coil vibes. I can see these pups being popular with some hear, IMO they are that good.

Craftsmenship is superb, super tight neck pocket and great fretwork. The scraped "binding" is perfect. With the 27" scale 10s feel good but would still put 9s on this one.

Never had a guitar that cleans explode out like this one and the sustain is incredible even with low gain pups, could not believe it. Honeymoon? No because in a few days I have to ship this guitar to the next lucky player, I was the 3rd.

JIm Soloway has stated that you can do whatever you want, gig, jams, whatever but just give him some honest feedback. I will be looking for one of his SSS models because I now want one of these guitars.

If you ever get a chance to play one do it, just a great handcrafted piece

You would love this guitar for the stuff you play, the 27" scale just maks this guitar so articulate and you still have a strat type body and sound huge.

I do not do this guitar justice the way you would, your pop / slap would sound awesome on this guitar!!!

I had a Swan demo visit my house once......it never left and now I have 3 of them.....lol
Sold off pretty much all others. One strum and I was hooked!

Picking this one up Tuesday.
A pair of Lollar High Winds should take this one into high gain land for me.

A pair of hotter pups and this guitar's sustain would be off the charts, I'll play an high E 12th fret, turn around to belt down some beer, put the beer down, and continue to play  and that is with a low gain pup.

I want a SSS config and will be looking in the future, I hope to do some business with Cliff as I owe him one.

I would hate to see what would happen if he was requested to make a HOM special set for 9s, hotter pups, and a tad more upper fret access.

The guitar would fucking OWN....... ;)

I just read the deal on their "demo" policy. I think that's the coolest thing ever... I mean, I've seen that for pedals and such... but for a guitar? Very, very cool.

Now if only he had one with a Floyd

those would look cool even with some solid colors

Yup, Jim said do whatever you want short of smashing it at the end of the show.

Never saw a Floyd Soloway and would not want one on this guitar.....yeah I said it

That's hot brother :inlove:

That's hot. I've always wanted to try a soloway. They look great and the long scale length interests me. They seem to have a clean bell like tonal quality.

The only bad part of owning a Soloway is that it makes all your other guitars sound dark and mushy....lol

They are the grand piano of guitars. HUGE tight low end that makes you think your tuned down a step, bell like qualities, and they sustain forever.

Jim is the nicest guy to work with as well.

I believe it, I let a friend borrow it for a day and he brought it back yelling to take back as it destroyed every guitar he had :D I am going to drop the tuning tonight to see what she has and if she will hold together.
