I just looked at Sweetwater and strings are pretty much the same price as they've been for the last 20 years; about $5 a pack.

That’s been the case everywhere I’ve worked, mostly restaurants & manufacturing jobs.

You can claim you need to step outside to smoke a few times a day, and no one will question it. Sitting in the same spot, doing anything else, you’ll get chewed out immediately. Anywhere you work nights, it’s far more evident.

It’s becoming less common, it seems the younger generation has less smokers among them.

Don't know man. I'm 57 and I've been working since I was 15. I've never seen anyone be able to just step out and have a smoke on the clock. The vast majority of my adult life I worked outside though. But I've never heard anyone else bring it up either.

These used to be Santana Big Cores. They getting harder to find.
I ended up paying $13 a set x 3 = $42.48
Not the end of the world but strings are so basic wasn't expecting a price increase.

To be fair, I’m also in a southern “right to work” state. The laws kinda screw us on things like break times etc. so I don’t expect what’s common here to be the norm across the US.
