I am trying to fix my HBE plank cranker and found that I have a burnt out resistor. Problem is that I can't measure it (measures open) and I can't see the stripes well enough to determine its value.

So I am hoping to find an owner who will snap a picture of the insides so that I can read the resistor band color codes. :)

I'm in Orlando and won't be back to Seattle till later this year ... Where pedal is. No problem once I get back.

Mine is loaned out... I'll see if they can get a pic for me

Thanks guys. Its the first resistor connected to the 9V line coming in. If you hold the pedal flipped over with the switches toward you, its on the top left.

Still looking for help. Even if you have a HBE power screamer, knowing that resistor would still help, as I bet that component is the same.

I have seen some gut shots of power screamers online, but none are clear enough to see that resistor band clearly.

I got you (HBE Plank Cranker)

Happy to report that the pedal is fixed. Replaced the 10ohm resistor, which got it working intermittently. Than found the wank (boost) 3PDT footswitch was the root cause and replaced that. Been dealing with the intermittent operation of the the plank cranker for a long time, glad to finally get it fixed.
