I don't see how it can have problems unless your three year old is chewing away at the wire. I've used my monoprice hdmi for over a year now and have not had any issues at all.

There was actually a test of a bunch of HDMI cable makers, and they all had the exact same picture quality, whether it was a $10 cable or $100 cable, they were all the same. It's a huge myth that the spendy HDMI cables are better.

Even for long runs like 20 feet?

20 ft isn't a long run. A long run would be considered more like 50 to 100 ft.

Don't feel too bad, I let the sales bot at Best Buy talk me into the Monster power conditioner for my HDTV. That was a $400 lesson I won't ever forget... :gethim:

Radio Shack cables for me!

LOL...they got me too Fred,BUT what the phuck did you buy for $400.00... a rack mounted power conditioner???
I just moved recently and the cable guy told me the need for clean power is one thing but not nessesary.

I bought one of these. It was an impulse thing - I didn't get to do my usual pre-buy research. Hehe...
