No difference because it's a digital signal. Don't waste your money on more expensive ones.

I thought so!
Thanx!

Keith

I bought one for $5 and the picture looks fantastic.

I read an online review that said as long as you're not going 100+ feet, that quality doesnt matter. If you're going 4' from DVD box to TV like me, get the budget ones on Amazon.

Yeah, as long as all your 1's and 0's get there, you're picture will work.

I've got one of those radio shack gold cheapies and my picture is great!

What, you mean to tell me my $129 Monster HDMI cable is the same thing as a $5 Radio Shack cable? Oh come on! Your eyes must be tin cans! :gethim:

J/K ;)

not exactly true. The only time you'll want to plunk down more money for a quality cable is the length of the run. If you're going over 10', then you'll want something a little better quality. I had a 15' cheaper hdmi that shit the bed, had to get a better one. Avoid all monstercables, obviously.

^^^

Yep, if you just need at 3 or 6ft cable I would get the cheapest you can find. I went cheap and they look great IMO.

OHHHHHHHHHHH....

I see now.
The length makes a difference. I need 20 ft cable so I guess I better buy a good one.

+1 for monoprice.

For my new HT setup I am using monoprice cables for pretty much everything :D

I'd check out http://www.bluejeanscable.com/

Not sure why people dump $$$$ on their HT setup, then buy $2 cables. I understand the Monster Cable ripoff thing, but at least buy something decent/moderate. Fuck, if you could create HDMI cables from lampwire, would you?

I got the 6 foot good monster one. :aww:

Don't feel too bad, I let the sales bot at Best Buy talk me into the Monster power conditioner for my HDTV. That was a $400 lesson I won't ever forget... :gethim:

Radio Shack cables for me!
