Would like to have seen/heard more about the humbucker. Double screw?

Video should start right at the pickup check, if not it is at 11:42. I would have also liked to know more about the pickups, pot, etc

Down in the comments, a dude mentions the initials likely mean pearly gates. But I guess it was a thing to wind the PG hardware to the JB specs. This would match the claim of using an A2 JB.

Now I want to try a SD custom custom or a wolfgang thru my amps:ROFLMAO:

those single coils don't look like SD1's .. although it never really gets close enough to make them out properly (at least for my poor eye sight).. they don't look to have Hex screws?

Didn't he use the "Holdsworth" bridge pup? Alnico 2, JB wind, matching coils.

Cool video thanks for sharing.
Look like old period correct Pearly Gates humbucker and SSL-1 (or other similar classic vintage type) models for the single coils; 500K pot.
Those pickups could have been changed multiple times since the mid 80's though (edit: probably had some pickup swaps over the years, as the photo from the cavity shows some probable non-factory soldering work and misc live photos from the mid-80's for sure show to me some different pickups in it).

The AH1B double screw pickup that MJ wound for me in 2010 from the Custom Shop is AiNiCo V magnet and 16.9K DCR. In my conversation with MJ on the phone was I wanted the original pickup that Jake used in his White Charvel. She pulled out her note book and said yes it was the AH1B pickup.

I think Jake is alot like EVH, PAF, JB or AH1B it's still gonna sound like Jake.

I have one of those early / old double screw hot PAF in the bridge of my prepro mutt blue Charvel, love it.
