Headfirst Alta starting production!!!

Jason posted a video that he's starting production on the Alta 100 and will be going through the waitlist to collect deposits soon. I got that email from him this morning too. It looks and sounds so good.

Has he outlined what the circuit is like?

The handful of videos I've seen usually just say it's a take on a Jose Marshall, so haven't been able to figure what specifically is different.
 
Is someone building them over here for him? I don't see how it would be cost effective shipping from where he is and the cost of everything over there.

I think Monomyth is building them on this side of the pond(I don't think it's a state secret or anything).

I'm on the waitlist too because 1. I try to support my friend's companies. 2. Jason is quite knowledgeable in a lot of different amp circuits. It's going to offer something different. It's basically the culmination of all the Headfirst products so I'm excited.

Yeah, Shea is going to be working on the US production run. Jason said something about it on tone talk a few months back and in his update #5. US runs is estimated to start in the 4th quarter or whenever they get the Heyboer transformers in.
 
I have a Headfirst Cali but am strongly considering buying an Alta too. The Cali is absolutely awesome and has become one of my favorite amps next to my Friedman modded Marshall and my Fortin Modded 1959S. @burger has a great ear and is great to work with too.
 
Great, another Jose mod. ?‍♂️

Is everyone really out of new ideas? Why not do something original? I’m not trying to hate, but the last thing we need is another Jose type mod.
 
I don't think it's a Jose, btw. I'm pretty sure it's a standard MV based amp.

I'm fairly certain he is building in Australia first. He and I still have not received our transformers from Heyboer. Jason and Shea and I all put in a large order together to get the ball rolling. Due to the delay, his US production will be delayed.

Jeremy is correct on all counts here. It’s a standard MV based amp, and yeah US production is waiting on Heyboer.

How is the Alta vs the Cali? A lot of overlap or are they very different?
