@burger Hard to gauge from the videos if the headcabs are full size or slightly smaller... What are the dimensions?

I haven't gotten mine yet. Last update from Jason on progress was a few days ago before Christmas. Shea's down to doing final testing and mounting into the headshells.

I'm guessing Shea would want to take a few days break to spend time with family before getting back to it and finishing up. I'd say it shouldn't be long now before amps start shipping out. Probably not too long after the 1st.

Edit: Jason posted this thread earlier today to celebrate 5K subs. I wouldn't be surprised if they do a little talking about the Alta builds.

I’m really excited for ya MadHatter!?
This looks and sounds like a real great high gain Marshall flavoured beast, with so many switchable features.

I took my Alta over to Brett Kingman’s (Aussie YouTuber) yesterday. Fun one-take clip up on his channel.

The ref to ‘V1’ was simply that I had Brett involved in testing during the prototype phase earlier in the year. The amp had changed quite a bit from that early prototype (v1) to this production (v2) spec. There is only one production version since the amps release in September 22.

Sounds awesome! Those few short riffs at the end on channel 1 sounded good too. I wasn't expecting it to get full on classic rock AC/DC saturation.

Great AC/DC tones on ch 1 with the gain goosed, Jason.
I take it, that was max gain on ch1 at the end…
Gain was around 7/10, with a big bright cap active that is letting all that bite straight through! Taking the gain up to 10 from there just starts to fill out the lower mids and bottom end.

I gotta admit Mr. Burger.............having the bright caps, channels and clipping selections on that midi touchpad on the chassis front is innovative to say the least! :2thumbsup:

These clip sounded much better than the previous ones posted!

I have one on order.
I really look forward to the midi capabilities.
I’ll be joining the robots with this one,
as I’m keeping an open mind with my comforts and yesterdays findings.
You can’t innovate in your sleep.
Oh yeah, For Those About To Rock 24/7 on Channel 1 pinned with the “bright bomb”.
-Some of that Jet “Cold Hard Bitch” crunchers.
See you on the other side of the dirt after
I plug into that beast.

Hey Jason, here’s one pretty cool feature
I look forward to:

AC/DC wherever you want them, with the
super dope midi capabilities your creation
has.
If a builder can save the scratch on a footswitch, good also,
-footswitches will soon go to ”the caveman pile”.

Yeah, you can totally have Ch1 with the super aggressive 70's bright cap saved into a MIDI Program for instant recall!! Instant AC/DC!

I really couldn't see the point of trying to supply a footswitch when there are so many great affordable MIDI foot controllers out there. Also, so many guys have MIDI capable devices on their boards already that can drive this amp.

Ya know man, I remember the Monoyith dude mentioning running a clean Helix patch into the effects loop of one of his one channel modified amplifiers of his.
At first, ..,
-But after thinking outside the box,
and getting torn to shards from giving that shit a go,
That’s a super-dope idea,
Especially after I got to run that unit(Helix)
through a power-amp & (2) 4X12 speaker cabinets.
Dude, dude…dude, you want
SUPER MONSTER MEGA’LOAD’S HEAVY?
-Like nobody comes home that night?
Go run that set-up and report back.

-Notice I didn’t compare it to anything, versus etc?
Go experience & hear it for yourself.
