Earlier this year I traded my black Marshall headshell to Nick (dawnofdreamx97) for one he had in orange. Well I decided that the "traffic cone" color, and other issues needed correcting...

So a Marshall parts order, and much labor later....

What I started with...

Much sanding, scrapping, and filling later...

I made a new rear cover out of birch to replace the MDF one.

All wrapped and ready for the amp...

I wanted that late '60's "vintage correct" look, and that is what I got.

I want to thank Jim from Scumback for his tips on this. Jim's many valuable threads on recovering helped me tremendously.

I ordered everything but the tolex direct from Marshall (KorgUSA). Marshall does not offer orange tolex anymore, but this place has a very accurate reproduction. http://www.partsisparts.net/products/10 ... -Style.htm I have a yard of the orange that Mojo offers, and it is not the same at all.

I am fortunate that I have a friend that can order from Korg, so the cost did not break the bank. I still have two 4x12s that are next to be recovered, so I ordered enough Marshall parts to knock out both.

Thanks, I had all the parts lying around except for a body. I had Chris Woods cut me an alder body, and I had it painted up.

I am pretty sure I have several complete guitars in parts if I look hard enough.

I'm to broke now but down the road if you ever decide to sell that ash PG pm me first. I LOVE ash guitars. They sound great IMO.
