So first off ... I hate wearing anything in or covering my ears. I want to hear the full kick ass tone of the music. But 10+ years of live shows and rehearsals have started taking their individual tolls on my ears.
Eardrum and balance problems suck.. So I'm going to start being a earplug wearing sob. I've tried several so far and I've landed comfortably on Earasers. I made the mistake of trying them for the first time during a gig... Dumb idea.
It took probably 3 -5 rehearsals to get comfortable hearing "myself" well enough to use in a live setting. That said, I'm really digging them. Now when we rehearse and I take the out at the end... It's shocking how loud the snare is afterwards. Almost painful.
Best part.. I can honestly hear everything pretty evenly, if anything it's help me concentrate more on being in time with the drummer during solos because everything seems so much more clear.

Any one have any suggestions for hearing protection of there own ?
