I have found that if I go into my gear room and start playing all my amps from one to another, swapping out guitars and cabs by the time I am all done I want to sell all my shit...

That's because the bogner cab is stuffed full of batting and is killing the high end...

The batting shouldn't kill high end. It serves to make the cab acoustically larger. Time = distance = volume. The batting increases the time it takes for a sound wave to travel through it, hit the back panel of the cab, reflect, travel through the batting again, and disperse outward. The longer it takes a sound wave (at a given frequency) to travel between two points, the larger the distance between those points, and the "bigger" the cab's volume appears. Does it also kill highs as a side effect? That I don't know for sure.

Why Bogner doesn't just make a bigger, oversized cab is beyond me, though.

FWIW, the friedman cab and the bogner cab are different sizes... The bogner is slightly over sized by one inch I think from my VHT and Friedman

And different speakers as well. No? Maybe it's more the speakers than it is the cab. Friedman is V-30 on bottom, Chinese Greenback on top. Bogners do not come this way. If you really want to hear a good combo X pattern V-30's and Heritage 55hz, not 75hz. Greenbacks are good but this combo is better.

I usually get so hooked into one that all the others are rubbish (obviously) and need to go.

Quite a lot of overlap on this pairing, appealing to modded Marshall fetishists.
Interested to see which one winds your crank.

Just shows that cabs make a HUGE difference in tone. I am positive that VHT cab sounds totally different with the PE-50's compared to the bogner.

This. You have to have a variety of cabs, IMO, to properly judge an amp. Plus different cabs can turn an amp from a great rock amp to a great metal amp. IMO. Cheaper to have different cabs than many different amps also. Hurts the storage though lol..

That's not his issue OP can play as evidenced by his BE clip the other day and his other youtube vids (yeah I checked them out, can definitely play)

Dude... it is called fiending....

Why wait 3-4 more weeks for a Helios that you already put cash down on, that "I know is in the bag" when you can step up and just buy another one that popped up and get to try it out sooner...???

Anyway I have to buy the other one that coming next month as there was cash up front on the deal unless I sell it in advance to someone.

I figured I would just sell one of them and possibly keep the other, but now after trying out the Helios (which is a killer amp) I will more than likely just sell both as I am floored over my new Friedman BE100 amp which will soon to have another Friedman amp to hang out with...
