This is all about the BE100 being a killer amp and nothing to do with the Helios not being a great amp...

I am more just into the Freidman universe right now and I am going to buy a second Friedman hopefully this week.

Just researching my options...

As I as stated over and over again... The Helios is a killer amp and I will have another at some point, just not right now.

It is really hard to tell where the tides of fiending will take a person over a months time, but by the time the next Helios comes in I might just keep. Who knows...

We who remember you from HCAF don't find this weird in the slightest :)
Giles always was the guy who brought home a bunch of amps.
Killer player as well.

That's because the bogner cab is stuffed full of batting and is killing the high end...

The batting shouldn't kill high end. It serves to make the cab acoustically larger. Time = distance = volume. The batting increases the time it takes for a sound wave to travel through it, hit the back panel of the cab, reflect, travel through the batting again, and disperse outward. The longer it takes a sound wave (at a given frequency) to travel between two points, the larger the distance between those points, and the "bigger" the cab's volume appears. Does it also kill highs as a side effect? That I don't know for sure.

Why Bogner doesn't just make a bigger, oversized cab is beyond me, though.
Because my 20th Xtc cab weighs 110 lbs :gethim: it does not need to be bigger

I like My Mk III and XTC through the Bogner cab/V30s

Not that it means anything but when I had an AFX II I really gravitated mostly to the HB100 a lot, so I am sure I would really like the amp itself. The other amps I liked in it was the SLO, Mesa Mk IIC+ and Ecstasy and since I have a Mk III and 20th X all I gas for is the SLO and HB.

Congrats on the Friedman

All I know is I scored a Friedman BE 1OO yesterday and proceeded to play play for 4 hours straight and freaking love that amp and I did change out the speaker cable bwhahahaha

I use the Friedman cab, so greenies and V30's...

Dang I love my Friedman, but I am missing my Helios a bit since shipping it out the day before yesterday...
