The Helios and The Shiva are completely different amps. You have to think about the Helios as more of a vintage feeling amp. No tight bottom end, no heavy tight, moshing tones/feel like you get with a Shiva or other modern amps. The Helios is more of a Plexi feeling amp, but with a lot more pre amp-gain (that's what makes it special. Nothing else out there is even close). If you want an old school feeling amp with plenty of gain the Helios is like a vintage Race Car with no safety systems. Attention true '80 shredders not the high gain
Mufflers of today who play sloppy chops through a rhythm modern high gain tone with no sag.

Define tight
cause the Friedman BE100 is Plexi and gets plenty tight, not death metal tight but has good bottom end thump. Plexis have low end as their power section is outrageous.
I had a Shiva 20th and the low end on that amp was nothing to write home about. If the Helios demos are even fairly accurate it's gonna cover some nice AIC tones and even that other dudes tone with striped guitars. Of course like any great Plexi platform that's not all it can do - it will do much more. I agree though that the Shiva and Helios will be quite different.
