Helix for Edgy Thrash Tones - Clams and "Grind" Update!

ala Destruction and Exodus.

I found a vid where a dude got a good approximation of the Fortin Grind on his AX8 so copied his patch settings as best I could on the Helix and it seems to work for those bright edgy tones like the Shovelhead era Exodus and stuff from German Thrasher's Destruction. Threw this together quick. No bass or mixing outside some lo/hi cuts on the guitars. All Helix and Balaguer.

Helix amps are:
Line 6 Badonk - L/R
Placater (BE100 model) Center and octaves

Drums are Metal Foundry from ToonTrack.

I actually dig the fuck out of this tone. Reminds me of the Boosted JJ100. Maybe I need to grab an AX8 afterall.

Thanks! I am pretty happy with the tone so far. May do a few more tweaks but I am digging it. This is on my Helix but the dude whose preset I used showed all his settings so I screen grabbed them and recreated the best I could.

I think I can get a little closer. Going to use Blood In Blood Out for the tone tutorial vid.
