okay. so i'm on tour and its goddamn cold here in western canada. took my herbert out of the road case and i notice one of my power tubes is cracked. probably from the cold...or a roadie being careless. anwyay....went to the local music shop, they only had 1 6L6 left a sovtek 6l6gb - all my other tubes are svetlana 6L6GC's ...so i bought it and replaced it - i dont have any multimeters or bias probes. i powered up the head and it plays and sounds fine.

should i just leave the tube as is? is this okay? or do i need to get it rebiased immediately? is it bad that i didn't replace the other tube beside it? and just replaced the broken one?

let me know what i should do!

Pull the fuse for that pair...leave open... or pull those two tubes... hell, you'll still have 120 watts... Same thing as the protection on that amp.. It will take a pair out of the circuit and engage the light telling you you have an issue...one pair down..2 to go! Enjoy all the safety features of this amp. It won't leave you stranded!
