HELP, how do I use fcb1010 to switch amplifier channels

Hi I am new to this forum. I have a fcb1010 without the uno upgrade which I want to use to change from clean to lead channels on my Engl thunder. I don't know how to make the switch sockets latch on when I press a foot switch and stay on till the same foot switch(number 10) is pressed again. When I press it it just switches and switches back straight away.
I find it hard to follow the manual so an idiot's guide would be appreciated.

I don't have one in front of me... but it sounds like you want "latched" function not "momentary" function. I'm not sure all versions of the fcb1010 firmware support it. A quick google:

From my memory, there should be 2 jacks you can plug your footswitch jack from the amp into, and then on each preset or button you assign in stompbox mode, you can assign which switches are latches or whatever. I ran this with my Peavey JSX head. It was a 3 channel..so the 1 switch changed to the Crunch channel and both switches on at the same time put the Ultra channel on.

I haven't used one of those in quite a while that way...
