Another thing I want to know is if other people also have trouble recognizing very familiar riffs when played by someone else. Sometimes guys play stuff with very distinctive styles, like Black Dahlia Murder or LOG, but sounds very different even if someone else plays it correctly.

I'm ashamed to say I have no idea on the song riffs, I was just assuming he was improvising some random cool grooves....he's a helluva a player though! Who does he play with?
