OK, I'll try something totally different.....
Don't know what kind of body wood you went for, but probably doesn't matter too much. I am saying stain it a nice, dark clear brown. Would look killer with that maple board!

Im happy VERY happy with the way it turned out. here it is with the board to show you what it wil look like
