I will first list the choice's which is very limited in Australia

1.EVH 412 with evh celestions $1475

2. Randall R412C with v30's and stereo inputs $799

3. Orange PPC 412 with v30's $1049

4. Egnater tourmaster 412 with v30's $1229

These are the 4 I am considering but any of the v30 cabs will have greenbacks installed in the top and the v30's bottom with a friedman based amp playing mostly hair metal eg motley, def lep, dokken etc

Thanks in advance!

I have a Randall 4x12 with v30's. Very solid, great sounding cab.

I have a mint Marshall AX quad for sale in Melbourne.

i recently sold my evh 4x12 but i thought it was a really nice cab.

Have u played many other cabs if so how did the randall compare??

I would'nt pay that much for any of them , their overpriced and you can get the same speakers from Avatar that sells them for much less.
I just bought two Avatar Vintage 4X12's for $600.00 each and I had a choice of any speaker combo as well.
I opted for greenbacks in both cabs since I'm a 80's rocker and like classic rock.
They sound just as good as the Marshall 1960BX cabinets I use to own and cost half as much.

I'm surprised the EVH is that much more than the others.
The Orange looks like a very good value in comparison.

As mentioned the Orange doesn't seem to be as bad of gouging as say the EVH.

However I'd say go for the Randall, good build and black cab & grill will look good with almost any amp.

The Orange is well orange, and the black still has the wheat grill that doesn't look as good with most amps.

Used to be a guy in Western Oz that made some awesome cabs and headshells out of native wood. That would be cool if he's still doing it?

Don't know what the price would be for you in AU but check out Mojotone cabs as well. I just learned the other day that they make Egnater's cabs, I have a tourmaster 212 and love it but was looking at trading it towards the 4x12. Mojo's are the same but are fully customizable for about the same price.

i should start up my cab business. i would sell my shit cheap.

If you can find one , Mills 4x12 cabs are IMHO the best cabinet that has been made .

But out of the 4 you have listed I'd have to say the EVH is my personal favorite.

I have played that model randall, but only through a thrasher 100 and not one of my personal heads. I can say that it sounded good, and projected the low mids well. Definitely geared for a metal sound, but for the price it seems like a good deal.
