Looking to get another 4x12 cab. My heads are Bogner Uberschall, EVH 5150 iii 100 watt, and a Peavey 6505+. I am looking for something that will go well with all three but in particular the Uberschall and 5150 iii. I think my Mesa 4x12 is the perfect match for the 6505+.

As of now, I am thinking either the Uberkab or 5150 iii cab. Appreciate any suggestions.

Ive had both the EVH cab and the Bogner, sold them... They are kinda similar as far as projection goes which is why I do not like them that much.. They have a laser beam thing goin on when you stand in front.. When you stand to the side they get a bit lost.

Mesa cabs project much more evenly which is what matters to me for live situations. If you dont play live then I guess its not as big of a deal. I would also recommend Splawn cabs which sound great and project evenly. I also just got a DV Mark 4x12 ... Its a great cab and only weighs 50 pounds due to the Neo speakers.

I also own a EVH head and a 6505+, two of my favorite amps on the planet and they sound great through Splawn, Mesa and DV Mark cabs.

I had the ubercab and the EVH 2x12. I sold them both. I have the Bogner standard cab now - rear loaded, all V30s, and I think it pretty much kills both of the other ones.

If you're anywhere near Central Florida I'm selling a Splawn cab dirt cheap!

I would go with Greenbacks. Maybe a Marshall AC model or a Bogner.

No experience with any other quality cabs but, I love my Orange PPC412.

Thanks everyone. Seems like Splawn cabs are very popular.

Built amazingly well and reasonably priced on the used market.

Honestly, it's hard to go wrong with something with marshall cab style dimensions, so long as the quality is good. My uberschall sounded great with Marshall style cabs with either all v30's or v30xg75 in x-pattern like the uber cab. The 75's gave more shape to the lows and gave it a harder, tighter sound, while the v30's kept the crunch intact. All 75's weren't very nice with it, though. I don't know how the evh plays with v30's & 75's, though.

I have heard that before which is why I am leaning towards the Uberkab. I want my Uberschall to be my main amp but my 6505+ and Mesa cab are my go to rig right now. If I can't find a good match for the Uberschall I may end up selling it. The Mesa cab isn't bad with it just think the low end is overbearing.

The EVH 5150 iii sounds good with v30's but there is a good amount of mid honk that I found difficult to dial out. But of course you get amazing cut in the band mix. I think the Uberkab will be a good choice but I am interested in the Splawns now. I think the Orange cabs are nice but the voicing seems very aggressive.

I find the orange cabs have a darker sound than the ubercab.

You could always go with a Splawn with the 75xv30 combo. The 75's will reduce some of the honk.

Got the Uberschall to practice today and it actually sounded really good with my Mesa cab. My vocalist and bass player both said it's the best sounding amp I have brought to practice. The trick to these amps I think is to dial the bass and gain much lower, I have the bass at 9:00 and gain at 10:00 - 10:30. Even with my EMGs I got a nice hot rodded Marshall tone dialed in. Since I still need another cab, I am thinking an Uberkab. But I just wanted to make note that the Mesa cab actually worked very well with the Uberschall in a band setting with the other guitar player using a 6505+ and Marshall cab. I thought it had a tiny bit of trouble cutting through but I was told multiple times it sounded great and it was cutting. It was probably where I was standing.
