So i got this a while back. Its BIG.

Its 36cm in depth.

Can someone give me some info on the cab?

Btw its half open, rear loaded and massive sounding!

Currently loaded with 2 V30 speakers. I just swapped out a g12k100 out of it.

I ran this cab through ChatGPT and this is the results.

Diezel 212 RT (Rear-loaded, Front-ported)

  • “R” = Rear-loaded: Speakers are mounted from the back of the baffle, which gives a tighter low-end and smoother high-mids — perfect for heavy rhythm tones.
  • “T” = Front-ported (“Tone” port): Dual front ports improve low-end response and projection without making it boomy.

Specs (typical, but may vary slightly by run)

  • Speaker Configuration: 2×12" (often Celestion V30s or G12K-100s)
  • Power Handling: Usually around 120–150 watts total
  • Impedance: 8Ω mono, 16Ω stereo (as confirmed in your image)
  • Construction: 13-ply Baltic birch
  • Size/Weight: Roughly 28" x 28" x 14", about 60–70 lbs

The 212 RT is built to bring the massive punch and clarity of a 4x12 to a more portable format. It’s voiced to handle high-gain tones with precision, while still being articulate enough for clean and mid-gain playing.

Design Philosophy
  • Rear-loading gives it a slightly looser, more vintage character than front-loaded cabs, which often sound more aggressive and in-your-face.
  • Front ports provide extra low-end response and air movement — giving it a tight, full sound even at lower volumes or in smaller spaces.
  • Metal hardware and casters make it ideal for stage and studio.
How It Sounds
  • Low End: Tight, powerful, never boomy
  • Mids: Focused and forward — great for cutting through a mix
  • Highs: Clear but not harsh; works especially well with bright amps like Mesa or high-gain Diezel heads
  • Projection: Strong, directional, yet full-room presence
Perfect Matches
  • High-gain amps: Mesa/Boogie, Diezel, ENGL, Framus, etc.
  • Also killer with neutral clean amps for pedal platforms.
  • V30s are naturally mid-forward, so amps with scooped mids (like 5150s or Rectos) balance perfectly.
