Any of you running a CAE 4x4 Audio Switcher and RS10? I picked one up off ebay, reset it to factory conditions (Version 6 - W1-ON) and now having issues. Had to reset the controller numbers for SW0-SW9. Now, all the L1-L4 loops seem to be momentary and switch themselves off in about 10 seconds. Got me stumped.

I have been using a GCX and Ground Controller and am fairly comfortable with setting this stuff up, but the Bradshaw system is kicking my ass. Need to get it sorted though.

If any of you can lend a technical hand - it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

Im having a very similar problem with mine too.. Im using the 4x4 and an RS-10 MKII controller.

When i set up a preset with individual loops turned on, the loops light up. I then save that patch on my controller. Then when i click a different preset button and then switch back to the preset i just made.. none of the loops come on. As i hit that preset button, for a split second the loop lights come on and then turn off instantly..

Yep, same thing with mine. Is yours fairly new or older? The one I have was built in 94. If you get it figured, send me a PM. Will noodle around with mine some more with it out of the rack.

Well i cant remember what year mine was made, but its definitly not newer.. i think it was made sometime mid 90s.

I have had mine for a while now and i still havent worked it out.. to be honest, i dont have that much knowledge with MIDI and programming so i dont really know where to start.

I was only using two loops until recently and found a way to get by. I would use either loop 1 or 2 for one unit, and either loop 3 or 4 for the other unit. When i made a preset, rather than choosing individual loops.. one of the buttons on my RS-10MKII activates both loops 1 + 2 together.. and another button can activate loops 3 + 4 together. So i just did that and it allowed me to do what i needed..

But thats not useful at all if you need to use all 4 loops individually. Im hoping i can work out how to fix the issue as id like to be able to use each loop seperately! :doh:

if you can still read the serial number on the back, it starts with the year number. will let you know if i get it figured out. got an email in to bob bradshaw.

Hey guys. I'm running an RS-10 with a 4x4 and have the same ver 6 W1 on. This should be the info you're after:

L1 = MIDI Control #31
L2 = MIDI Control #32
L3 = MIDI Control #33
L4 = MIDI Control #34

C1 = MIDI Control #35
C1 = MIDI Control #36
C1 = MIDI Control #37
C1 = MIDI Control #38

L1 + L2 = MIDI Control #39
L3 + L4 = MIDI Control #40

C1 Momentary (60ms.) = #41
C2 Momentary (60ms.) = #42
C3 Momentary (60ms.) = #43
C4 Momentary (60ms.) = #44

So basically if you use the midi control numbers 35-38 that should clear up your momentary issue. Plus this makes setting up your RS-10 exactly how you want it a breeze. If you need any more info feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll be glad to help you out any way I can! :thumbsup:
