Looking for some suggestions:
I want to run 2 vintage type single coils with a full size HB in the bridge with only one vol and one tone pot.
The sc's want to see a 250k vol, and the hb wants to see 500k.
Wadddya do?
I've seen 2 ideas so far:
500k vol pot with 2 x 470k resistors parralell to ground off the 5 way for each of the single coils, so they see a 250k load.
Or
250k vol pot with a 250k resistor in series with the hot wire from the humbucker so it sees a 500k load.
I've tried all my single coils with 500k pots and they are too bright.
I want to use a trem-spaced Afwayu in the bridge, and I'm pretty sure it will be too dark with a 250k vol pot, but I haven't tried it yet, because I still have to route the body lol!
Thoughts?

Is there a guitar wiring layout you can't do with a 5-way super switch? I swear, that was the technology NASA used to fly the Apollo missions to the moon.

500k vol pot with the 470k resistors. Superswitch makes this extremely easy and guarantees your singles always see ~250k and humbucker always sees ~500k regardless of what position of the switch you use. Suhr's pre-SSC/SSCII diagram is the gold standard for this in a normal guitar that can accept a blade switch IMO

Fukking gold is right (y)
Thanks for that man !
Exactly what I'm looking for.
I think I have a superswitch in the shop too.
If not, I can get one asap no problem.
You guys are the best :rawk:

Just went thru this. Ended up just running a 500k because my Neck pup is as bright or balanced as my single Neck.. I tried running a 470k in there, but it was dull. These are all Alnico V deals..
