Good evening everyone.

So my setup consists of 3 evh 6l6 heads and 4 2x12 cabinets.

Wet channels have eventide h9 in the loop returns on wet amps.

Dry channel has evh phaser, flanger, echoplex preamp and wah going in the front of dry amp.

My question is, considering the dry channel is supposed to be exactly that, is is proper to run those pedals on the dry. I have had several people that are quite knowledgeable on the subject say those effects were meant to go in the front. Other people say leave the dry channel untouched. Wah sounds horrible in the loop so that will stay as is.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your wet cabs should have stuff like delay, verb, pitch, chorus. Phaser, flanger, OD, wah, etc would be first in your signal chain and hit the dry amp (and then the wet cabs).

You can mix some dry signal into your wet cabs, but don't put any delay, verb, pitch, etc in your dry cab. That defeats the purpose.
