Henning Cherry Bomb Review

This amp is extremely impressive. Anyone that says they'd like to play a Henning should just buy one because after you play one - you'll want to buy one. It's really that simple.
 
Steve knows tone and is a good guy, and a great player too.

I believe you fail to realize that what YOU pay for a one-off transformer from MM isn't what an amp company pays. MM is about the same price as the other guys in that regard.

Number one, my power transformers have special requirements with regards to the switching circuits that necessitate a custom unit. Mercury makes me exactly what I specify for my amps, so these are not "off the shelf" units. Additionally, Mercury Magnetics transformers come with a TEN year warranty, whereas Classic Tone comes with a ONE year warranty. This protects myself and my customers against issues for a very long time.

I dunno what your problem is with MM, but I like their products. They sound great in my amps and IMO, they are worth it...
