Herbert MKIII Tube dilemma

Hi guys. My Herbert is in the shop waiting to be diagnosed for strange “ocean-like” noises. I’m assuming it’s a tube gone bad. Understanding the subtle nuances of the tube world goes in one ear and out the other and trying to memorize it all makes my eyes gloss over instantly. So I’m here to ask for guidance/suggestions in purchasing replacement and spare power and preamp tubes for my MKIII. I want to stay with the KT77 for the power section. Are there certain KT’s that are better than others? Any suggestions on the best preamps and where to find them? While we’re at it, does anyone know what comes stock in the Herbert. I’ve reached out to Diezel directly but to no avail. I appreciate any feedback.

They were coming with JJ 6L6's for quite a while due to supply issues, not sure if this is still the case. Pretty sure it was JJ KT77 before that.

6l6s sound best in all my Diezels. . This will sound crazy but 6l6 Mesa sets make my Herbert agressive and exactly balanced . More roar too

I can only think of two KT77 being made at all at the moment. JJ and Gold Lion so not a lot of selection.
If you like the JJ KT77s and can't get any, I'd recommend JJ E34Ls. They get close enough for me
