Tung Sol RI in v2,v3,v4
mesa in the rest

New Ruby GOld caps as well

Sorry man. Try swapping some of the preamp tubes around (could be an effect buffer or phase inverter tube going south) or try your spare 6L6s. Another thing to try real quick is to clean out the effects loop jacks by just plugging/unplugging a 1/4" jack a few times to clean the contacts.
 
I would definitely re-bias after changing tubes. I've never done it on a Herbert, but in general it's a reasonably simple process.
 
yea ive never biased a amp before so I think Ill hold off on that till i can get it to my tech and make sure its done right

got the herbert back today after getting a cap job done on it with ruby gold's (what was in it) and man it sounds like the god of thunder. thanks for all your help Peter
