By far the best sounding of the three clips, but still sounds like $1000 tone to me, and that's being generous. I think these amps sound somewhat thin and lifeless to be honest. I really don't dig what I'm hearing here, and that's a good thing!

I've played one and it didn't seem like anything very special. It sounded thin to me in general - no matter how it was set. My buddy and I tried out Matchless, Dr. Z, Carr, Bad Cat that same day and I would've bought any of those amp before the Dumble.

I think anyone who would pay that much for a guitar amp should walk around with a "I'm a sucker" sticker on their back for the rest of their lives.

he wont be a sucker when the price doubles in 10 years. im not sure why its so hard for people to understand why these go for so much?? youre paying for the history and lore behind them and the fact theres only been a few hundred made mostly for elite guitar players.

If I had the scratch I'd buy one for sure. Fire it up every now and then just to keep the filter caps happy, and then sell it later when the price has doubled. I could care less what it sounds like, I would just buy it to flip it later to a doctor or lawyer on the gear page.

The most over-rated amp ever! I had one back in the 80's and sold it because it didn't come knee high to my Kolbe modded Marshall

I'm no fan of Dumbles, but any amp can sound bad with a bad player. I've heard some fantatsic Dumble clips in the past, but never a single one that impressed me enough to want to pay more than $1000 for one. Even though Eric Johnson is my #2 all-time favorite guitarist, he couldn't even convince me to ever consider getting one. If I was rich and could afford to shit on $60,000, I still wouldn't spend more than $1000 on a Dumble.

Randy did you post that clip at TGP ? It may be interesting to see how some reply if you do not say plus or minus on the clip ? I have never heard clip of the Dumble that made me want to check one out. Even the clip that people like here sounds like it has a lot of asymmetrical distortion. Then again I like cheap wine ?
