Did a little review.
Sound - The guitar is setup in standard tuning with I think .10s. For classic rock which is what I've been playing mostly it's great. It's nice and bright and crisp and the pickups work very well for this type of music especially the 80s era.
Through my K88 and some delay it kills for solos but I would have liked a more bluesy type of neck pickup. The one in my JEM is an evo and that pickup is so ****ing versatile. The one in this isn't really as versatile. The bright is nice and crisp and works well for cleans but sometimes it can feel/sound muddy, same with the neck pickup.
Acoustically sounding it compares very similarly to my JEM. The whole body rings very well and the guitar itself is just feels like it has character. Electrically/pickup wise. The guitar could use some better pickups from what I'm hearing. My JEM has a Warpig in the bridge and the one in the 770DX just doesn't really compare. 8/10
Playability - The neck on this just shreds. It's one of Ibanez's thinnest and has it's own distinct feel from my JEM. The JEM feels like the neck is wider or just slightly thicker while this thing just feels like frets on air. You can get a ton of range. The only thing I don't like is say getting the higher notes on the sixth string. The bolt on isn't an AANJ, let's just say that. With the JEM all high notes are accessible. With the 770DX you can get them all easy but sometimes the pocket can get in the way. The cutout actually does help though, I will say that. 8.5/10
Durability - So far I've been treating it like a baby so I can't comment on this but I'm going to give it an 9/10 since most 770DXs i've seen may be beat up but they hold together VERY well. 9/10
Overall - This guitar is one to have. If you see it hanging up try it out, it's something not to just skip out on since they aren't the most common thing either. I feel it has it's own equal purpose comparing to my JEM but if I was without it or lost it/broke it/stolen I'd totally save up for this thing again
Overall score - 8.5
That's what I figure.
