Well he I go again......

Got my rack in today (it's freaking HUGE, had to remove the lids to get it in my basement   ), my 3.666 modded MP-1 and VHT inside of it, still awaiting other deliveries.

So....here we go.

Looks like a great start. I think you're gonna need some casters or a dolly for that when it's finished.

yea, I've got a "hand truck" dolly for transporting it, and a "cab dolly" for here at the house.

It's gonna be massive, it'll be moved once I get my old cabs out of here, and get my Splawn cab here.....

or, like me, a smaller simpler setup for actual playing out.

The Cheese Factory can't be lifted without a crane.

I am a big fan of those cheesy SKB roller racks. But, am able to get by with a 6U rack. I don't think they come any bigger than that.

Clips please. Give us a taste of that ADA throught the VHT.

I am quite envious and feeling like my little recto rig is inadequate.

I kinda miss my rack (odyssey power conditioner, isp decimator, triaxis, g major, TC 1128, 2:90). Sounded kick ass for sure. I wish I could keep that AND my Roadster. Oh well.

You got a lot of space to fill up there Jug. Good luck and happy gear hunting

I had a VHT 2/50/2 during my rack days - killer poweramp IMO.

Cool stuff, Mike.

You will never be able to lift it fully loaded! Should have got 2 smaller racks.

Pics????? :D

After watching your progress thru all kinds of amps etc I think this may be the solution for your quest for perfect tone. I did mine with a 2-year intense search thru all kinds of pedals and finally have my perfect gigging rig that is kinda lightweight and sounds perfect to my ear. You are getting close to tone nirvanna

Yea, I'm REALLY hoping so....

But my rational in this is that my tone needs/wants change so much with having a couple preamps and the Egnater Modular setup, I should be able to satisfy any change in tone I need. Or I can pick up another preamp instead of switching out entire rigs. :D

I'd really like to try one out, but I think the Egnater will be plenty awesome on it's own.... :D

Preamps are much cheaper than amps. I just use the HBe pedals and Menatone pedals for my preamps. Nothing fancy and cheap (kinda) and very light so its easy to move. I spend my dollars on guitars these days.

I dont mind the weight, I got "fixes" for that (dollies, ramps for my truck etc...) But I'm just really not a pedal guy, as much as I'd like to be, and I even have the "inside line" to HBE, but I only have 1.....the Bytchn Swytchn, which I'll use for a while till I HAVE to get a rack switcher. :D

Joels stuff is top rate, I have the PS and a CPR. I'm not in to heavy gear issues so my lightweight amp, reverb unit, and pedalboard along with a 2 guitar minimum is enough for my church gig. Most of the time I can leave my amp and stuff set-up as I am the only electric player in the band.
