Sounds awesome Chris! That's some badass tone you got there. I loved when you went for that big bend about half way through, sounded excellent

Thanks man!!! I just got through playing it for 30 minutes or so after installing the JJ E34Ls and rebiasing the amp. Oh yeah, these tubes do sound better. They have a sweet top end that's not muffled (like JJ preamp tubes), but certainly not harsh. They sound great to me!

power dampening ideal? nope. i still think the ultimate attenuator or hotplate, and the london power scaling in the badger are superior for tone preserving attenuators...
but, perfect tone is perfect tone. my ears set the bar, regardless of the slagging mojave may or may not deserve.
cameron for modern rock sounds, two rock for pure clean and dumble, egnater for extremely authentic classic core tones and maximum versatility in a channel switcher, vht deliverance and sig x cause they are unique yet familiar, and props to suhr, fuchs, bogner and diezel because they also produce killers and i would be thrilled if i *had* to use their stuff...
but the peacemaker is what it is in my mind; the amp which off the shelf is capable of delivering what i consider perfect rock tone, the way i want to hear it, after 2 decades of experimentation, and has set the standard for my ears.

I tried pinpointing it by listening over and over again but I can´t. I think it´s in the mid structure and smoothness. Freaking killer tone and I dig the playing!

You are giving me GAS for another Egnater TOL100. I wish I hadn't sold #1

That's fine, because Pat's vids are making me GAS for a Coyote combo and I have no idea why. I think it's his hypnotic clean playing or something. Maybe his good looks. Not sure.

the last time i saw mike landau live at tone merchants, he had the best crunch and lead tone i'd ever heard from him, out of his OD-100 classic. amazing.
and i really respect john suhr and ed y. for their commitment to excellence and their contributions to tone refinement, so this is by no way a knock at their products, but i kept thinking to myself if mike had a peacemaker, his tone would have been even better. i feel the same way about eddie. that is one cat that could seriously benefit from a peacemaker, as presumtuous as that might sound....![]()

Just realized that our handy digital camera also records like 30-50 seconds of digital video/audio. Made a clip tonight as a test. I don't have a good playback system handy, so I'm not 100% how the amp sounds with the crappy little camera mic, but it seems KINDA okay.
Thoughts?
Chris

It's is sweet and the my Mojave 4x12 loaded with G 12 H 30's is one of my favorite cabs ever. It tok a little while to break the G12H30's in but once they are they just sound absolutely incredible.
