The switch takes off gain from channel 1 (pretty much like the SLO's clean/crunch switch) - this is a poor man's version though.
Channel one has a bit more gain than stock (one resistor changed = X88R crunch), Depth added, manual channel switch added - no rocket science at all :D

hi olaf. very nice. chimey and meaty. if i compare them to the stock version i can hear the differences the mods make. is modding one difficult? i haven't really been able to look at the board layout on one of these at all. the nearest dealer is a three hour drive as no one carries them locally. you know i'm a superlead fanboi.
i was also checking out the afterburner pedal on the web site. i liked that very much. it might just be the thing for a cheapskate like me! :D

Hi Dave,

adding this switch (in my case thats a simple on/off/on - so I can select two resistors) is very simple - and the board is built very very well, so it can handle my soldering without a problem. You just need to drill a hole - and I also would recommend to add the depth - maybe in my clip it sounds a bit "boomy", but thats because I have to record at room level here. FastRedPonyCar has some very nice vids of the stock and the HDM (or so) JCA100H, which sound really well - and the HDM is just a 100H with depth and a LED (AFAIK).

Pretty amazing how just a few mods can add so many different tonal variations. Nice job, Olaf!

That really sounds good!! Great job and I love the face when you found the out of tune string!!!!

Merci. :)

thanks for the mod explanation. as a side note.. three of my amps do cleans and take pedals fairly well.. so an afterburner makes a lot of sense for me actually. ;)

The clip from FRPC and this pedal were great, Dave.
